Alzheimer Society of Toronto - Music for Memory Project

Music has been shown to not only help people with Alzheimer's Disease feel happy and alive but also to stimulate their brains. For people with Alzheimer's, music brings memories back to life.

We teamed up with the Alzheimer Society of Toronto to create the "Music for Memory Project." The goal? To bring music, in the form of donated old or new iPod Shuffles, to as many people living with Alzheimer's as possible. Why an iPod Shuffle? Its simplicity allows those with dementia to enjoy the music they once loved without any visual distraction.

To kick the project off, we created a Music for Memory Concert. John Mann of Spirit of the West, who publicly announced his Early Onset Alzheimer's diagnosis less than a year prior, headlined the sold out event.
