Across 15 years in the business, first as writer then creative director, Ian has worked at the forefront of digital and creative innovation. During that time, his work has helped clients build, transform, and repair brands, and earned more than 400 awards for creativity and effectiveness, including Effies, D&AD, Clios, Webby, 21 One Show Pencils and 26 Cannes Lions.

In 2014, he was ranked #1 Copywriter in Canada in Strategy Magazine’s Creative Report Card. Ian was also co-creator and writer of the influential Our Food. Your Questions. radical transparency platform for McDonald’s – which led to a direct improvement in both brand trust and food quality perception scores for McDonald’s around the world. As creative leader of the creative data agency FCB/SIX, Ian helmed the LGBTQ+ travel utility Destination Pride for PFLAG Canada, which became the most awarded Canadian campaign at the 2018 Cannes Lions. Recent highlights include helming Go Back To Africa” for Black & Abroad – which led to an increase in interest to travel to Africa among our target, and a measurable, positive shift in sentiment and usage of a phrase previously and primarily used as a racial slur. That project also won the Grand Prix in Creative Data at Cannes and a D&AD Black Pencil.

Under Ian’s creative leadership, FCB/SIX was the #1 ranked Canadian agency at Cannes in both 2018 and 2019 and became Ad Age’s first ever Data & Analytics Agency of the Year. Major clients have included Honda, AB/InBev, Cadbury, Johnson & Johnson, Taco Bell, McDonald’s and BMW.

Nina Patel

Nina Patel is Vice President of Brand & Innovation at Kraft Heinz Canada, one of the country’s largest food and beverage companies. Dedicated to driving bold creativity and step change growth for the business, Nina has over 15 years of marketing and innovation experience between Kraft Heinz and PepsiCo Foods. She believes that building culturally relevant icons today requires speed, agility and a keen understanding of how to tap into consumer tensions in the world around us.

Recently named strategy magazine’s 2020 Marketer of the Year and Canadian Grocer’s 2021 Star Women in Grocery award winner, Nina is responsible for strategic growth plans, creative, media planning and innovation ideation through to commercialization across iconic brands like Heinz Ketchup, KD, Kraft Peanut Butter and Philadelphia cream cheese, to name a few. Starting her career in Europe during the dot.com boom, and then as a journalist, Bunmi harnesses her experience and background to devise robust and creative campaigns that make major impact and deliver tangible results. Brands that Bunmi has worked on include Campbell Canada, TikTok, Netflix, L’Oreal, Audible, Tim Hortons, Ontario Virtual School, Aveeno, Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards, and MEC.

She excels at talent and influencer relations, media relations, social media and strategic partnerships. Bunmi is co-founder of Code Black Communicator Network, which is a resource for the advancement of Black integrated communications professionals.

Paula Amos

Indigenous Tourism BC

Paula Amos is of Hesquiaht and Squamish Nation descent, born and raised in the Nuu-chah-nulth Territory on Vancouver Island. She has worked in several positions with Indigenous Tourism BC for almost 20 years and has been working with Indigenous communities for 25 years, bridging the opportunities between the Indigenous tourism industry and mainstream tourism.

Paula holds a degree in First Nations Studies and Business Management from Vancouver Island University. Paula was a member of the Blueprint Strategy committee for Indigenous tourism in BC, the North American Indigenous Games Bid Committee, and the 2010 Aboriginal Tourism Working Group, in partnership with the 2010 Bid Corporation. She believes the Indigenous cultural tourism industry has economic development potential and drives cultural pride for Indigenous people.

Alyssa Buetikofer

Throughout her career, Alyssa has earned a reputation as a strategic marketing visionary who is hyper-focused on business growth and always has the interests of guests top of mind. She is a courageous leader known for her ability to build strong relationships, influence through transparent and genuine communication, and inspire high-performing teams. 

Joining McDonald’s in 2011, she quickly ascended the ranks; taking on a diverse range of responsibilities across U.S. and global marketing. Most recently, she held the role of Senior Director, U.S. Marketing Brand & Content, where she built brand love and drove sales growth through creative campaigns and promotions.

Notably, she was one of the key leaders behind the Famous Orders celebrity program, featuring Travis Scott and J Balvin, which contributed to record-breaking social engagement and drove tremendous business results. Prior to joining the organization in an internal role, Alyssa spent seven years at OMD, where she was responsible for media strategy for McDonald’s, as well as Quaker Foods.

Jeffrey has spent his career perfecting his craft at some of the top creative agencies in Canada and the United States.

Prior to joining Sid Lee, he led global multi-channel campaigns for Google at Mullen in Boston and was part of the team that took the agency to the Advertising Age A-list twice, Creativity’s “Innovators of the year” and the Forbes Top 10 Ad Agency list. At Sid Lee he co-led the iconic “We the North” campaign for the Toronto Raptors and has been a key player in growing the agency’s reputation on the global stage.

His work has been awarded with multiple prizes at Cannes, D&AD, Clios’s, One Show and Art Director’s Club.

Glen D’Souza began his career in advertising as an Art Director back in 2002. His body work includes award winning campaigns for Ontario Power Generation, Dove, LG Electronics, Trojan, Best Buy, Scotiabank, Walmart, Infiniti, Audi, and The Canadian Real Estate Association.

He’s also a member of Forsman’s Global Inclusion Taskforce, working with other offices within the network in identifying ways to promote diversity and inclusion through discussion and action.

Sherry Feng

Sherry’s prowess is in combining creative vision and business objectives to deliver growth and measurable results. Sherry is currently Global Head of Flower for the Value & Mainstream categories at Canopy Growth, where she leads the business division in delivering brand market shares and P&L growth. Her previous role at Canopy was Brand Director, leading a variety of national brands including Tweed and Tokyo Smoke. Prior to joining Canopy, Sherry led all medical and recreational marketing at a cannabis start-up, where she developed, created, and launched their portfolio of brands and products. Sherry also spent several years at Labatt Breweries working on some of the largest beer brands in the world, including Corona, Budweiser, Bud Light, and Stella Artois.  

Sherry holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business and a bachelors degree from the University of Toronto. She lives in Toronto, and enjoys playing touch football and attending Raptors games in her spare time.

I’ve had the immense pleasure of working on some great brands from General Motors’ Saturn and Saab brand, to “Never Stop. Milk.” (the recipient of many awards including multiple Cassies) to PEI Tourism, to Bell, to Scotiabank, and many, many more in between.  And my favorite of course – ATB Financial.  A brand which I joined in August 2013 and a journey which has led to my current role of Sr VP, Brand.

Stephanie Yung

Stephanie is a self-confessed design nerd who believes great design can solve real business problems and human needs. Most recently, she spent over a decade as Director of Design at Smart Design New York, where she focused on front-end innovation and the strategic translation of brands into new products and experiences. Her clients included PepsiCo, Sephora, P&G, Under Armour and Amex.  

Stephanie’s work has been featured in top industry publications and recognized by award shows like The One Show, Cannes Lions, Communication Arts, the UX Awards, AIGA and the Fast Company Innovation by Design Awards. She’s a sought-after speaker, who’s taken part in conferences at Yale and Microsoft covering topics like inclusive design, behaviour change and designing for women

Recently, Stephanie returned to Zulu Alpha Kilo after helping the agency early on when it rebranded Bell back in 2009. As Head of Design, Stephanie will be helping to create meaningful human-centred design solutions for all of Zulu’s clients.  

During downtime, Stephanie enjoys watching music documentaries and loves spending quality time with her young daughter – which usually involves paint and lots of clean up.

Leilah Ambrose

Leilah began her career at the world-renowned design studio Bruce Mau Design, where she collaborated on the production of Massive Change – a project that exhibited at the Vancouver Art Gallery, Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art, and Toronto’s AGO. Her experience at the studio launched a love affair with storytelling at an ambitious scale, leading her down the path to advertising. For the next ten years, she developed cross-platform, award-winning work at shops including Tribal Worldwide, Grip Limited and TAXI, for clients ranging from the Canadian Cancer Society, Subaru, Budweiser, KFC, J&J, TELUS and the United Way.

She joined Edelman in 2014 to help build its now-globally recognized Earned Creative offering from the ground up. Her projects in recent years have involved co-writing scripts with Michael Bublé for SodaStream, creating a legal wedding chapel at Toronto Pride for Skittles, and launching a Getty stock Image collection that offer a more inclusive vision of beauty for Dove.

Esther Benzie

Esther Benzie is the Vice-President, Marketing & Client Communications at CIBC.  Esther has more than 25 years of Marketing experience in the Banking, CPG and Not-for-Profit industries. After receiving her MBA from Ivey Business School, Esther held a variety of roles across many leading brands in over two decades at Procter & Gamble.  She was a part of the P&G Canada Leadership team and led the P&G Canada Brand Building organization and the Brand Operations team that focused on executing the brand plans and building new marketing capabilities.  In 2018, Esther joined CIBC where she and her team are responsible for the design and delivery of advertising & direct campaigns for the CIBC brand and products, and measurement of marketing performance.

Esther has always had a passion for developing people and has been a long-time supporter of diversity, equity and inclusion.  She was the executive sponsor of the P&G Women’s Network, the largest affinity network at P&G, and a founding sponsor of Forward Together, a network that brings together companies and their high potential women to help share resources that enable women to grow their careers.  She currently sits on the board of the Association of Canadian Advertisers, and leads their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.

He’s done time at TAXI, McCann, BBDO and most recently joins lg2 as Creative Director.

Karine Courtemanche

Karine Courtemanche, is CEO of the award-winning media agencies PHD Canada and Touché!, both owned by the Omnicom Media Group (OMG). At Touché!, Courtemanche previously held the positions of President, from 2009-2019, and Vice President of Strategy, from 2003-2010.

During her tenure, Touché! has been named Agency of the Year five times by Strategy Magazine, and Courtemanche herself was named Media Agency Leader of the Year three times. In 2020, Touché! ranked as the fifth-most awarded media agency in the world in the WARC 100, an industry benchmark recognizing excellence in creativity, media and effectiveness.

In addition to leading these prominent agencies, Courtemanche sits on the Boards of WildBrain, the world's leading independent kids' content company, and Canadian Ad Standards. Elma Karabegovic

Elma is an internationally awarded Associate Creative Director at Broken Heart Love Affair, who has created campaigns for brands, both in Canada and the UK.

She has most recently had the honour of being named one of the top 10 Next Creative Leaders by One Club after winning 2 ANDYs, 11 Gold and 2 Best of Discipline at the One Show for her work on Project Understood for the Canadian Down Syndrome Society.

Her passion for behaviour changing work has also manifested campaigns like “Consent is Simple” for Project Consent and “Jane’s Story” for BMO, to name a few. When she’s not making ads, she’s teaching them at Miami Ad School.

Bernice Lo

Better known as “Bee” by her peers, Bernice joined the dentsu One (formerly Grip Limited) team two years ago, helping lead several national brands such as RBC, Taco Bell, and Aurora amongst many others, while also shaping the creative department behind the scenes.

With over 14 years of experience in the industry, she’s had the opportunity to help build brands for a wide variety of clients in almost every category. From working at larger shops such as Publicis, TAXI, and Cossette, to smaller independent agencies like Arrivals + Departures and Cundari, Bernice has been fortunate enough to work with some of Canada’s best ad people, while refining her craft as an art director, and winning awards, along the way.

Julie Markle

Julie has always believed in creating work that adds meaning to people’s lives by empowering them, inspiring them, and turning them into advocates, or better yet, doing all three.

For years, her creative ideas, iconic visual identities, and collaborative approach have been helping brands like Dove, Huggies, and Hellmann’s. From communicating the importance of skin-to-skin hugs for babies (Huggies) to shaping the self-esteem of girls and boys (Dove) to encouraging children to embrace “real food” (Hellmann’s Real Food Movement), Julie is always finding new ways to change hearts and minds. 

Her work has been recognized many times over by every award show, including Cannes, D&AD, the One Show, the Clios, and Communication Arts. Julie is unabashedly proud of her numerous Effies wins, primarily because they prove that her work is good for business. But she is even more proud of her Glass Lion for Change at Cannes because it proves her work is good for people.

Ms. McCrae is a cannabis industry veteran having spent nearly four years with Aphria Inc. where she led the company's brand and portfolio management, consumer insights, innovation, and digital strategy. Ms. McCrae also spent ten years in various global progressive consumer and trade marketing management roles with global tobacco giant, Japan Tobacco International (JTI) as well as holding the position of Board Chair on the Cannabis Council of Canada.

Bailey joined Facebook in 2018 from MAGNA where she oversaw the investment strategy of IPG Mediabrands, representing over $1.5 billion in media spend and prior to that, at media agency Universal McCann leading its Investment teams, highly-complex integrated projects and optimizing its lines of business.

Bailey has been featured in Strategy Magazine and Media In Canada for her leadership on the NYC upfronts, her support of the CMDC and Canada’s media community. In 2011, she won the Strategy Next Media Star award. 

Bailey lives in Oakville with her husband, their twins and 2 chihuahuas. To unwind Bailey enjoys daydreaming of post covid travels, painting and a nice glass of wine.

Cameron Wykes

S4 and MediaMonks recently named Cameron Wykes, it's first VP, Head of Content for MediaMonks Canada.

Wykes joins from a 5 year stint as a Strategic Content Consultant, which included a Co-Founder/Exec Producer role at StoryGame Studios Inc. here in Toronto. Prior to that, Cameron founded and led BabyRobot along with an evolving executive leadership role at parent company, Kirshenbaum, Bond, Senecal + Partners Canada.

Wykes will work with local and global S4 partners to grow the Content practice (MediaMonks) in Canada, finding synergies with newly acquired partner Jam3, and integration with data and digital media agency, MightyHive Canada. Cam will be based in Toronto, with responsibilities that span coast to coast. 

S4 continues to forge the new agency model, seeing Wykes' role as a major opportunity to grow its Content discipline in Canada - as part of its strategic leadership vision within Data, Media and Content disciplines globally.
